SWINDON and Wiltshire Pride will not have a parade this year - but the rest of the event will still go ahead.
The centrepiece of the celebration would not comply with Covid-19 guidelines so it has had to be scrapped.
The free family-friendly fun and games in the Town Garden will be held as usual, starting from midday on Saturday August 7.
A Pride spokesperson said: "We are working hard to go ahead as usual, however we have had to make some changes to ensure we are able to manage Covid restrictions.
"One of these changes is to not have the parade part of the event this year.
"This was a difficult decision but it felt right to make sure we can focus on making the event safe and enjoyable for all.
"Swindon and Wiltshire Pride will... continue to be a free and fun event celebrating the LGBTQ+ community.
