MORE than 30 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Swindon within 24 hours.
Including the latest 36 from today's update, there have been 147 positive Covid-19 test results recorded in the borough within the last seven days - - which is 12 more than the week before.
As of June 23, Swindon's infection rate is 64.8 cases per 100,000 population.
As of 9am on Monday, there had been a further 22,868 lab-confirmed Covid-19 cases in the UK, the Government said, the highest daily rise since January 30.
It added that a further three people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Monday, bringing the UK total to 128,103.
Separate figures published by the Office for National Statistics show there have been 153,000 deaths registered in the UK where Covid-19 was mentioned on the death certificate.
