THE Richard Jeffries Museum is holding its annual Steam and Cream Teas event this weekend.

Visitors can enjoy the fun from 12pm to 5pm on Saturday and Sunday.

The museum gardens will become a mini country fair, with three steam traction engines run by Colin Hatch and his steam from Hatch Heritage at Wanborough.

Plus, there will be tractors and a full sized threshing machine, a miniature steam engine, and vintage agricultural equipment -some of which was saved from the old agricultural museum which burned down at Coate - as well as arts & crafts stalls, live folk music from the Bellflowers, and lots of cream teas and cakes/

This is the third time the event has been held and marks a welcome return after being unable to happen last year because of Covid.

Entry is free and parking is available in the Coate Water overflow car park, though numbers will be controlled by one-in-one-out if the site gets too busy.
