SO what rules have changed and what stayed the same?
All legal restrictions on social contact were removed and all remaining closed businesses and venues can reopen.
The restrictions on how many people can meet indoors or outdoors is gone. Large events like music concerts and sport can resume without attendance limits.
All restrictions on life events such as weddings, funerals, bar/bat mitzvahs and baptisms have been removed
The legal requirement to wear a face covering has been lifted but you are expected to still wear one if near people you don’t normally meet in enclosed and crowded spaces like on public transport
Social distancing rules have been lifted but you should continue to consider the risks of close contact with others, particularly if you’re clinically extremely vulnerable or not yet fully vaccinated
A Swindon Borough Council spokesman said: "It’s important to remember that the pandemic is not over.
"There are still steps we all need to take to protect ourselves and others from the virus as cases continue to rise, including wearing masks in crowded places, meeting in well-ventilated areas and regular hand washing.
