Bowood House & Gardens, between Calne and Chippenham, is celebrating after welcoming back large-scale events.

Music extravaganza Classic Ibiza already has been described as "huge success" but plenty more events are pencilled in now covid restrictions have eased.

Here are some events to enjoy this summer

• Crafty Gardeners’ Workshops: a series of seasonally-inspired, half- and full-day workshops return to the Gardeners’ Bothy at Bowood House, including on Wednesday September 15.

• Private Walled Garden Tours will be taking place throughout August, with a August 20 still remaining.

• The Wiltshire Game and Country Fair will take place on Saturday August 14 and 15. Three main arenas will be supported by a host of smaller country sports arenas and workshops. 10am-6pm.

• On August 21, Mr Stink by David Walliams will arrive at Bowood for a two-hour performance, beginning at 6pm and with gates opening at 5.15pm.

• Summer Screens Open Air Cinema will be at Bowood between Wednesday 1 - Saturday 4 September, The four-night run features Les Miserables, Dirty Dancing, The Greatest Showman and this July’s new release, In The Heights.

• The Outlaw Triathlon will take place on Sunday September 12, in its first ever South West date. Making the most of the Estate’s landmarks, the triathlon will start with a 1.2-mile swim in the Lake, before a single-loop 56-mile bike ride and returning to the Estate for a 13.1-mile run through scenic parkland. www.outlawtriathlon.com/bowood/overview
