TWENTY new student officers were welcomed into the Wiltshire Police ranks after completing their initial 23 weeks of training.
Their achievement means the county force now has 155 student officers and 1,090 overall.
The student officers continue their training under a new programme in conjunction with the University of South Wales.
Dr Louise Skilling, from the university, congratulated the student officers on their appointments and wished them the very best of luck on the next exciting stage of their training.
Assistant Chief Constable Deb Smith told the group: “Well done to each and every one of you, especially with how you have adapted to all the aspects of training during the pandemic.
“It has been brilliant to listen to all of your different backgrounds and achievements during the ceremony today, and it’s great to hear how proud you are to be joining Wiltshire Police.
“Go out there, be the best that you can be.”
