RONNIE Scott's Jazz Club is one of the guest stars at this year's Devizes Arts Festival which is making a popular return from November 11-19.

The famous jazz club will bring Ronnie Scott's All Stars to the Corn Exchange on Thursday, November 11, at 7.30pm.

The club is coming to Devizes with some of the best jazz musicians in the country, to tell the story of Ronnie Scott's and to bring the best in live jazz.

Other festival highlights include Sally Barker at Devizes Town Hall Assembly Room on Saturday, November 13, at 8pm, with Joni, Sandy & Me – An Evening with Sally Barker.

Sally brings some of the songs of both Joni Mitchell and Sandy Denny to the stage, interspersed with some of her own, to explore the inspirational singer/songwriter legacy that was forged in the early 1970s.

Sally was Tom Jones’ finalist on The Voice UK 2014 and has toured with Fairport Convention, Sir Tom Jones, Bob Dylan and Robert Plant, and has many albums (including with IOTA) to her credit.

Motown Gold is on Friday, November 19 at 8pm, the Corn Exchange, where the audience can party until 11pm with one of the top bands celebrating the finest music from the Motown and Classic Soul era.

There will also be free Fringe events throughout Devizes:

• Friday, November 12 at 8pm: Arif Najak at the Muck and Dunder, Brittox. The loop pedal guru brings laid-back reggae sounds to Devizes’ number one Rum Bar.

• Sunday, November at 12.30pm: Lucy Moon at The New Society, 23 Market Place. Dynamic jazz vocalist Lucy Moon brings energetic swing and classic swing-era tunes to liven up your Sunday lunchtime.

• Wednesday, November 17 at 8pm: Big Sky at the Crown, New Park Street. The South Wales favourites bring roots rock infused with touches of blues, country and psychedelia.

• Thursday, November 18 at 8pm: Mark Harrison at the Three Crowns. There is no one in music quite like Mark Harrison. He is widely considered one of the most original and interesting artists around. His highly individual, all-original music has taken him to some of the top venues and festivals in the UK, attracting acclaim wherever he goes.
