DRIVERS on the M4 and the A350 through Wiltshire may experience some additional delays on Wednesday afternoon.

An abnormal load is due to leave Leigh Delamere Services at around 2.45pm, heading eastbound before leaving at Junction 17.

The convoy will then head south on the A350, heading through Westbury to meet the A36, which it will follow until Woolverton, where it will join the B3110 towards its end destination at Peart Farm at Norton St Philip.

The convoy will consist of a vehicle up to five metres wide and weighing 39,600kg and the journey is expected to take approximately two hours.

Due to both width and weight, the load will be slow moving and have the potential to cause congestion at junctions, particularly with North Bradley road being closed this week.

Wherever possible, disruption will be kept to a minimum although both hauliers and motorists are asked to please be patient should they come across said move.

Anyone travelling over this period on time-critical matters should allow sufficient additional time for their journey.

Police escorting resources are being provided by officers and paid for by the haulier at no cost to the public.
