A Swindon man has been sentenced to two months in prison after being found guilty of stalking.
Reece Saunders of Wilcox Close continued to phone his victim after his initial arrest and would turn up at places where he thought she would be. The 21-year-old was then remanded in custody for repeatedly breaking his bail conditions.
He received a restraining order at last week’s sentencing at Salisbury Magistrates Court which forbid him from making any form of contact with the victim.
He has now served his custodial sentence following the time he spent in prison on remand.
LCI Catherine Baird from the Swindon Community Policing Team said: “I want to acknowledge the bravery of the victim who continuously supported police action when she was being constantly intimidated by Saunders.
“We take domestic abuse very seriously and no one should be subjected to what the victim had to endure from his actions.”
