TWO professional theatre companies have announced the relaunch of opportunities for young talent with a major new production.
When This Is Over is a UK-wide project putting young people centre stage and Prime Theatre and Swindon Theatres are giving local creatives the chance to star in their own show.
The resulting production will be premiered at Swindon Arts Centre in 2022 and is open to all young people aged from seven to 25 without audition.
Mark Powell, artistic director of Prime Theatre, explained: “As soon as lockdown happened last year, all our youth programmes went online. We’re now thrilled to be creating a specially made physical production.
"A brand-new script will share the experiences and dreams of the many young actors who are hungry to be back on stage.”
Director of Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre and Arts Centre Laura James added: “When I heard about this national project we just knew we had to bring it Swindon. We’ve really missed having young creatives and their energy in our venues.
