Last week Swindon families were treated to a bit of Jack and the Beanstalk panto magic courtesy of the Wyvern Theatre.

On Monday October 25 the theatre took festive joy to Hocus Pocus Play and Magic Beans Cafe in preparation for the big winter show.

Children enjoyed decorating crowns and taking part in a 'Storytime' session.

Then on Wednesday October 27 the theatre opened its doors for a Family Fun Day.

Children were entertained by Prime Theatre who hosted drama games and storytelling skills exploring Jack and his legendary adventure, and Tanwood School of Performing Arts, who held an silly Moooove It Like Daisy Dance Workshop.

The Fun Day was in aid of raising funds for the theatre to hire a Mobiloo facility for the relaxed performance of Jack and the Beanstalk.

A Mobiloo is a fully mobile toilet unit that comes complete with a changing bench and hoist, providing those with disabilities a more accessible and dignified facility than many fixed toilets can offer them.

A spokesperson from the Wyvern said: "We were thrilled with the response to our recent Family Fun Day and our collaboration with Hocus Pocus Play and we are delighted to be playing our part in bringing some much-needed festive joy to the town ahead of our giant pantomime spectacular, Jack and the Beanstalk, this December."
