The international hit musical and Olivier Award nominated Six is coming to the Wyvern Theatre next year.

Tickets are already on sale for the hotly anticipated show about Henry VIII's six wives which will run in the Swindon theatre next October.

Six, which has stormed the West End and Broadway, is a modern reimagining of the lives of the infamous monarch's wives presented as a pop concert.

The production is currently touring the UK but originally found popularity at the Edinburgh Fringe in 2017.

The Wyvern Theatre said: "From Tudor queens to pop princesses, the six wives of Henry VIII finally take to the mic to tell their tales, remixing five hundred years of historical heartbreak into an 80-minute celebration of 21st-century girl power.

"These Queens may have green sleeves but their lipstick is rebellious red. It's time they told their story."

Toby Marlow and Lucy Moss wrote the book, music and lyrics after a Cambridge poetry class inspired Marlow.

Tickets are available on the Wyvern website.
