FOUR Swindon eateries have received new food hygiene ratings.

A restaurant, a coffee chain's cafe, a pub and a takeaway have been visited by Food Standards Agency inspectors.

The results of these inspections have just been posted on the authority's website - and it's good news for all four establishments.

The new Nepalese restaurant Gurkha Swindon at the bottom of Victoria Road, near Regent Circus, received full marks with five out of five.

The Starbucks inside the Orbital Shopping Centre's Asda supermarket received the same rating.

The Freke Arms on Swanborough Lane in Hannington received a Very Good food hygiene rating of five.

The Tasty Chinese Takeaway on 74 Victoria Road received a Good food hygiene rating of four out of five, let down only by the generally satisfactory systems in place to management food safety.

The pub and Starbucks were rated on January 7, then the takeaway and restaurant were rated on January 12.
