One of the big concerns for homeowners in West Swindon is the constant blight of noisy, speeding cars disturbing the peace.
It has disturbed locals so much it was one of the issues raised to all Police and Crime Commissioner (PCC) candidates before the re-election.
Deputy PCC Russell Holland met parish councillors Suresh Gattapur and Nandini Singh and Freshbrook resident Luke Dawson to talk about reckless and nuisance driving from cars that create excessive noise.
While further discussion is planned, Coun Holland has asked people in West Swindon to consider forming a Community Speed Watch group similar to the ones operating in Highworth and Wroughton.
Members would volunteer to use speed monitoring guns after receiving training from the police and traps would be put in problem areas.
