A TROWBRIDGE motorist has been banned from driving for 12 months after pleading guilty to a drink-driving charge earlier this year.
Stuart Martin, 28, of Manor Road, was stopped by police in Fore Street, Trowbridge, on January 8 and found to be over the drink-drive limit.
Salisbury magistrates were told on Tuesday he had 42 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of breath, exceeding the prescribed limit of 35mg per 100ml of breath.
He was also fined £350 and ordered to pay £35 to victim services and £85 prosecution costs. A collection order was made.
Martin also pleaded guilty to failing to surrender to custody at Salisbury Magistrates Court on January 24, having been released on bail on January 8 at Melksham Police Station. No separate penalty was imposed.
