Longleat House has announced it will re-open next month after a two-year closure.
A team of conservation cleaners has been working on Longleat House to ensure it is ready for its grand opening on April 1.
The epic spring clean has involved a painstaking inspection of all the stately home’s public state rooms and the thousands of priceless and historic objects and artworks they contain.
Conservation Cleaning Supervisor, Tracie Mason said: "We have been ensuring the house and its contents have remained in good condition during the closure, however, the knowledge that soon we will be opening the doors to thousands of visitors is definitely an incentive to ensure everything is spick and span."
Home to the 8th Marquess and Marchioness of Bath, it first opened in 1949 and was the first in the country to open its doors to visitors.
It is the longest period the home has remained closed in more than 70 years.
To mark the occasion, there will be brand new guided tours and exhibitions taking place throughout 2022.
Day tickets start at £34.95 for those aged 16 and over and £26.20 for children aged between three and 15.
