A 36-year-old woman from London has been fined for committing fraud in two Wiltshire Asdas.
Daleda Muntean, of Plumstead High Street, Greenwich pleaded guilty to ‘dishonestly making a false representation, and causing confusion with the cashier in Trowbridge Asda to make a gain of £198’ on April 18, 2021.
In another instance on the same day, Muntean again committed fraud by false representation at Melksham Asda - intending to make a gain of £120.
She pleaded guilty to both charges at Salisbury Magistrates' Court and was sentenced on March 25, 2022.
Muntean was ordered to pay compensation for both offences as well as £95 to victim services, and £85 in costs - totalling £498.
She has also been given a community order to carry out unpaid work for 40 hours within the next 12 months. This included a rehabilitation activity requirement, with mandatory attendence at appointments for up to a maximum of 12 days.
