A car flipped into a ditch in Braydon yesterday after the driver lost control when faced with large amounts of gravel on the road.
Police believe an unknown vehicle shed its load of stones on Braydon Road which led to the accident just before 2pm.
The Hyundai I10 driver, a victim in her 40s, was not seriously injured but was taken to Great Western Hospital as a precaution.
The B4696 had to be closed for around two hours yesterday so the carriageway could be safely cleared of stones.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have witnessed a vehicle shed its load or anyone with dash cam footage of the incident.
Anyone who can help should call 101 and quote crime reference number 54220048500.
