There is less than a week to get your application in for a licence for a Jubilee party.
And just a day to apply for a street party.
Communities and neighbourhoods the length and breadth of the UK are being encouraged to use the long double bank holiday weekend at the start of June to celebrate Her Majesty the Queen’s 70 years on the throne.
But closing a street for a street party must be approved by Swindon Borough Council.
The deadline to apply for a street closure is Friday, May 13.
The application deadline for a Temporary Event Notice for licensed activitiesn is Thursday, May 19. These are needed for events which might have music or dancing or a bar. Or serving or selling hot food.
These deadlines are in place to make sure that anyone who submits an application has the highest chance of approval in time for the bank holiday weekend.
To find out how to apply, Swindon residents can visit Swindon Borough Council’s dedicated Jubilee webpage at www.swindon.gov.uk/platinumjubilee
