Two owl chicks have been rescued by wildlife rescue charity RSPCA Oak and Furrows after being abandoned by their mothers.

The organisation posted a picture of one of the fluffy white chicks onto its Facebook page along with an update on how they were doing.

It said: "After close monitoring we were looking to relocate as they imprint on humans within 24 hours if they are left alone.

"A second owl chick then came to us for care and the pair are being looked afte.

"There are very specialist ways of looking after owls which come into our care to stop this from happening and to ensure that the owls can be released successfully back to the wild where they are able to fend for themselves."
