A DATE has been set for an attempted murder trial after a woman suffered “life changing injuries”.

Sezwin Crasto is charged with attempting to kill the woman on Broad Street on March 21.

She was caused “life changing injuries”, but later that week Wiltshire Police confirmed that she was in a stable condition.

Crasto, 21 from Broad Street, appeared at Bristol Crown Court last month where he did not enter a plea to the charge.

The case was adjourned for a further case management hearing to be heard on June 6, whilst he is due to stand trial on September 12, should he plead not guilty.

At the time, police also said they wanted witnesses to an “incident” in Manchester Road moments before the attack, at around 5.20pm, to come forward.

Another man was arrested at the time, but was released and will face no further action, Wiltshire Police said at the time.
