Two firefighters have been honoured for their service to the town after more than 20 years years of putting out fires in Swindon.
Nathan Lenehan and Greg Dyer, both operating out of the Stratton St Margaret station, were recognised at this year's Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue award ceremony.
Nathan, from the Greens, received his 20-year medal, while Greg, from the On-Call, was given a long-service award at the Garrison Theatre in Tidworth.
Both men were praised in Twitter posts from Stratton St Margaret Fire Station.
Commenting on Greg, the station spokesperson said: "Firefighter Dyer from the On-Call finally got to celebrate his long service award at this year's annual award ceremony.
"Greg has selflessly served Stratton St Margaret, Swindon, Wiltshire and Dorset for the last 21 years. Top man Greg!"
Moving on to Nathan, who had the medal presented to him by group manager Dave Adams on June 20 after he wasn't able to attend the ceremony, the spokesperson said: "Nathan Lenehan from Greens received his 20-year medal today from Dave Adams as he was not able to make the ceremony last month.
"Nathan has spent all his career serving the Swindon community after moving from Weston-super-Mare, Congratulations Nathan."
Both posts were accompanied by the hash-tag '#hero'.
