Bradford-on-Avon Friends of Palestine members are inviting supporters to an open day to raise funds for a school language laboratory.
The open day is being held at 5 Middle Rank between 10am and 4.30pm on Saturday (June 25) and supporters are invited to drop by for morning drinks, lunch 12-2 (text to book) or tea.
Group member Judith Hammond said: “People can relax in the garden, browse the Bring and Buy stall and help raise funds towards the first language laboratory for a secondary school in Tubas, with whom our town is officially linked.
“Or, they can chat to members of the BOAFOP committee about recent and future events, or to me about my seven-day cycle ride to Manchester at the end of July, the first part of which, to Derby, I will be with my cycle buddy, Michael Weltike.”
Mrs Hammond will then join around 200 cyclists on The Big Ride to cycle to Manchester via Stoke: a total of 250-300 miles. There will be no charge, but donations are welcome.
These can be given on the day or sent via the JustGiving page here.
To book lunch, text the BOAFOP committee on 07505 260666
