A man from Hullavington has been slapped with a fine worth more than £600 after not paying a train fare.
Sandile Dllamimi, 22, was found to have travelled on a train without paying fully for his ticket on October 2, 2021.
The full fare should have been £59.60 - which is what Sandile should have paid before getting on the train.
However, the fines that have been handed to him as a result by Swindon Magistrates’ Court have amounted to a fine of £220, a compensation fee of £185.60, a victim services surcharge of £34 and he was also ordered to pay the costs of £180 by May 27.
This is a total of £619.60.
