A summer of wild adventure is set to be kicking off at Wiltshire’s famous Longleat Safari Park from next month.

The popular bird display Wings is also back for the summer season, which runs from July 16 to September 4.

Aerial view shows will be taking place to feature the majestic birds of prey throughout the day in a purpose-built 500-seater outdoor arena.

Visitors can experience the thrill of a falcon stooping at nearly 100 miles an hour, feel a vulture’s wings swooping just above their head, and witness majestic eagles taking flight.

There is also the return of Longleat’s indoor beach - which is formed of 120 tonnes of sand, along with deckchairs and themed activities for all the family to enjoy.

And of course, you wouldn’t want to visit Longleat without taking in the Park’s famous drive-through Safari; which lets you cruise through the habitats of lions, wolves, cheetahs, and monkeys.

At the African Village, you can jump out and walk, with opportunities to get up close to playful lemurs and the Park’s stunning Rothschild giraffes.

You can also step aboard the Jungle Cruise to see gorillas in their lakeside retreat and enjoy the antics of playful sea lions as they keep pace with the boat and keep a watchful eye out for Longleat’s pair of resident hippos.

The Longleat Railway always offers an exciting journey through scenic woodland and past the iconic Half-Mile Pond.

This guest-favourite, nostalgic narrow-gauge railway has been running since 1965 and is older than the Safari itself.

Just off the Park’s Main Square, you can feed colourful lorikeets, walk amongst an inquisitive gang of meerkats and head down to Koala Creek to meet Hazel, the first ever southern koala to be born in Europe.

The Family Farmyard is the perfect place for younger animal lovers to come and meet some of their favourites including bunnies, donkeys, chickens, and some more exotic critters from further afield.

Alongside the animal experiences, Longleat is also home to a huge variety of other attractions including Little Explorers’ Garden for pre-schoolers, the giant Hedge Maze, Rockin’ Rhino family ride, and the full-size Adventure Castle, where young imaginations can run wild.

Not forgetting, of course, the heart of Longleat itself, Longleat House with its doors now back open to visitors for intimate guided tours throughout the day.
