OUR story on potholed roads near Swindon that have caused damage to dozens of cars promoted readers to highlight several other problem areas.

Dozens of drivers reported concerns about the state of the B4005 between Wroughton and Chisledon over Christmas, but it wasn't until 10 days later that the borough council sent out a repair team.

Motorists described damage to their wheels, tyre blowouts and hearing shocking bangs as they drove the route in the dark.

Ian Johnson: "The drive from Wroughton to Devizes is quite an experience too, especially around Winterbourne Monkton."

Sofia Lakis: " Couple just before and after Avebury are absolutely lethal! Luckily the one in Avebury is during the 30 zone but other other one in the 50 is so dangerous if you don't spot it."

Timothy O'sullivan: "Bus stop area by the Deers Leap on Penhill Drive has got more craters than the Moon."
