Police have been conducting patrols in popular Swindon nightlife spots in an effort to crack down on violence against women and girls.
Officers from Wiltshire Police's Team 3 Swindon Response walked around Old Town, a popular spot for pubgoers and clubbers, on Monday night.
During their patrols, they said that 'everyone was on their best behaviour' and confirmed that no arrests were made in relation to the night-time economy.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "Officers actively work in partnership with members of door staff at licensed premises and other partner agencies to make sure that everyone has an enjoyable and safe night.
"Wiltshire Police are committed to tackling incidents relating to violence against women and girls robustly."
In a post about the patrols shared on Facebook, the force also shared some advice to people going on a night out.
"If you are ever subjected to an incident where you are made to feel unsafe on a night out, you can approach any member of staff in licensed premises and ‘Ask For Angela’ - you will be safeguarded immediately.
"If you ever feel unsafe on a night out or witness this happening, please report this to Wiltshire Police via 101 or in an emergency on 999."
