Police are appealing for witnesses to a suspected assault.
The attack is said to have happened near the Spotted Cow pub on Marlborough Road, near Coate Water, during the evening of Friday, November 17.
A man in his 20s suffered serious injuries which are not thought to be life-changing.
The incident has been reported to the police.
A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said: “Our investigation is still in its early stages.
“Anyone who witnessed the incident is asked to contact us on 101 quoting reference 54230122132.”
