A man has been taken to hospital and another has been arrested following a stabbing in Swindon.
Wiltshire Police has now issued an appeal for witnesses who may have seen the incident to come forward.
On the morning of Monday, January 22, a man in his 20s was arrested in Swindon Town Centre by officers in Swindon
He remains in police custody under suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent.
The suspect is believed to have been involved in an incident that took place near Spring Gardens in central Swindon on Sunday evening, January 21, where a man in his 50s was struck with a blade.
The victim has since been treated for his injuries and has been discharged from hospital
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "Any witnesses to the incident to the incident which took place shortly before 9pm [on Sunday, January 21] near Spring Gardens should call us on 101 quoting log 54240007694."
