A WOMAN from a village near Yate has been sentenced after assaulting another woman.
Eleanor Batten, aged 39, of Cotswold Way, Hawkesbury, admitted causing actual bodily harm against the woman at an address in the village on August 26 last year.
She was found not guilty of intentional strangulation against the same woman on the same day.
The case was heard at Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday, April 30 where Batten was ordered to stop drinking alcohol for 120 days and to complete mental health treatment for 12 months.
She was also ordered to complete up to 20 days of rehabilitation activity and a restraining order was imposed against Batten.
