Grassroots sports clubs could benefit from renewed investment to help them grow and thrive.
In a fresh bid to boost community sport, clubs are being encouraged to apply for financial support through the Aldi Sports Fund, which covers groups across Wiltshire.
The funding is designed to help with equipment, kits, coaching, training programmes, and facility hire.
The programme brings Aldi’s UK-wide backing for local sport under one scheme, following 10 years of support through its Scottish Sports Fund.
Aldi is the Official Supermarket Partner of Team GB and ParalympicsGB.
More information, including eligibility criteria, application deadlines, and grant values, is available at www.aldi.co.uk/sportsfund.
Tim Ellerton, chief commercial officer at Team GB, and Jenny Seymour, commercial director at ParalympicsGB, said: "Aldi is a fantastic partner to Team GB and ParalympicsGB, and we are delighted to see them extend their commitment to supporting sport at every level across the country.
"From local communities to the world stage, they understand the extraordinary impact sport can have.
"It will be great to see athletes getting involved and helping to make that impact felt in communities nationwide."
Through the Aldi Sports Fund, select Gold grant recipients will also have the opportunity to meet a Team GB or ParalympicsGB athlete and hear first-hand about their journey in sport.
Julie Ashfield, chief commercial officer at Aldi, said: "We know how much local sports clubs mean to the communities they serve.
"They're run by passionate volunteers and give people of all ages the chance to get active, try something new and be part of a team.
"For the past 10 years, our Scottish Sports Fund has helped hundreds of clubs, and by bringing this activity together under the Aldi Sports Fund, we're making it easier for even more grassroots organisations to see what support is available in their area.
"Our partnership with Team GB and ParalympicsGB is all about inspiring people to get involved in sport.
"Through the Aldi Sports Fund, we're helping more clubs continue the fantastic work they do every day."
Grant amounts and application periods differ by region.
Clubs should visit the Aldi Sports Fund webpage for specific details relevant to their area.
To apply, eligible organisations can send an email to sportsfund@aldi.co.uk, outlining in 200 words or fewer what makes their club special, how they would use the funding, and the impact it would have on their community.
