A pensioner killed himself because his wife had become ill.
Anthony Higg, 67, left a note repeating his wedding vows before hanging himself in his garage.
He was found at his home in Carlisle Avenue, Old Town by men who had come to check his boiler on February 21.
An inquest heard Mr Higgs suffered depression, and had been proscribed Prozac. His family said he had got depressed since his wife Daphne, 77, had developed mental problems.
She is being treated at Swindon's Victoria Hospital.
Mr Higgs had visited her, and the inquest heard he could 'see no end to it'.
Coroner David Masters recorded a verdict of suicide, adding Mr Higgs' mind was disturbed at the time.
