Up to 200 jobs will be created in Upavon, near Pewsey, by Capita and the Army Recruiting Group.

The jobs will be at the National Recruiting Centre, which will be the hub for Capita’s Army recruiting and customer contact teams.

Capita, which describes itself as the UK’s leading business process outsourcing and professional services company, signed a contract in March to work in partnership with the armed forces to deliver recruitment services for the Army.

Mike Babb, director at Capita’s resourcing business, said: “We are looking for talented people with different levels of experience for various roles, including administrators, team leaders, recruiting enquiry advisers and candidate support managers.

“Applicants might be ex-military, come from a family with military links or simply have an interest in recruiting and customer service.

“The Army already has a strong recruiting and training presence in the area so we look forward to building on this, creating more jobs in future and supporting local communities over the coming years.”

Recruiting starts now and interviews will take place from late November onwards.

Capita hopes to have the new teams working at Upavon by March 2013.

Interested applicants can visit www.capitaarmyresourcing.co.uk for more information and to search for job vacancies.

Mr Babb said: “Joining the Army is an important decision so we want to make sure each candidate receives the support and information they need throughout the recruiting process – allocating a support manager to each candidate will give them continuity and a personal service.

“We’ll provide full training to ensure our employees have a positive experience at work and are equipped to deliver a high-quality service to potential Army recruits.”
