BUBBLES at the ready – a fizzing Prosecco festival is set to sparkle into Swindon.

The Steam Museum will host the extravaganza which will see Prosecco lovers sampling more than 40 different types of fizz.

Organiser Denver Blue said: “Swindon is really is well known for loving its fizz, so we're all particularly excited for this event.

“Its bound to be a sell-out, so get those tickets early. The majority of our other venues have already sold out.”

The event is billed as UK's first and only dedicated Prosecco festival, and it is coming to Swindon for the first time.

It takes place at more than 30 locations across the UK and will becoming to Steam on May 4 and 5 with afternoon and evening sessions.

Located in the main hall, the festival offer more guests some classic glasses of fizz including Spumante, Cava, Brut, Pink Fizz and Prosecco cocktails.

And for those non-fizz fans there will be an Italian Peroni area, too.

Denver added: “A Prosecco festival wouldn't be complete without a stunning array of Italian street foods, designed to compliment the array of fizz.

“There will also a be a stage with a dance floor filling live band through all the sessions.”

On arrival, fizz fans will be given a branded Prosecco flute to fill at their leisure.

The bars will work on a token, no cash system. Tokens can be purchased using

cash or card from the token points at the venue and are priced at £5 each.
