Lawrence Vigouroux – 7

Not a lot he could’ve done about the goal – made the initial save. Distribution a bit off at times, however commanded back three well. Not his busiest game.

Luke Woolfenden – 6.5

Kept York honest on the right, more frequent attacks down that side in the second half tested him. Plenty of crosses were completed. Not a stand out performance, but not heroic.

Dion Conroy – 7.5

Some excellent switch play from the former Chelsea man. Had an eye for creativity, took things into his own hands at times when movement in front of him proved non-existent.

James Dunne – 7.5

Froze on one occasion, but was Town’s most positive player afterwards. Created chances, at the same time held the ball up well.

Sid Nelson – 7

The usual no nonsense display from Nelson that can easily be forgotten. Could argue he should’ve been tighter to his man for the goal, but that would be nit picking.

Steven Alzate – 7.5

Registered a goal and could’ve had two. Had an ‘off’ few minutes mid-way through the second half, but composed himself well. Should’ve kept his shirt for next week.

Jermaine McGlashan – 7

Benefitted from Dion Conroy’s superb switch play. Ran at the defenders and played with energy. Good ball to create Town’s first goal too. Subbed.

Scott Twine – 7.5

Notched his first senior Town goal, which prompted him to try his chance more often than usual. Solid display. Will enter training with confidence at a high no doubt.

Elijah Adebayo – 4.5

Didn’t do enough or test York’s goalkeeper enough. Lost the ball regularly and headers were often met by City shirts. One key chance resulted in a relatively comfortable save.

Keshi Anderson – 6.5

Quiet game, made a few runs but could be under threat following Scott Twine’s strong performance.

Ellis Iandolo – 7.5

Worked hard and picked up some of the slack from players around him at times. Swung some good crosses in and accurate on free kicks as well.

Substitutes:

Kyle Knoyle – 6

Featured in the concluding four minutes of the game.
