RUBY Removals kept up the pressure on Swindon & District League Premier Division leaders Ashton Keynes with a resounding 4-1 win over struggling FC Dorcan on Saturday.

The result means it is now four wins from their opening five league games for the second-placed side as Ruby continue to put together an impressive recovery following their loss to Stratton Juniors on the opening day of the season.

Elsewhere in the Premier Division, leaders Ashton Keynes and third-placed Stratton Juniors played out a competitive 2-2 draw.

The stalemate meant that Juniors held on to their unbeaten start while also preventing Ashton Keynes from opening up any more of an advantage at the top, with the three leading sides now separated by only two points.

Meanwhile, in the battle of the development sides, Swindon Supermarine ran out comfortable winners over Marlborough Town, recording an 8-2 thrashing on home turf.

In Division One, leaders Kintbury Rangers Reserves put 17 goals past bottom side Swindon Centurians for their biggest win of the season, while Highworth Town Development shocked third-placed Ramsbury with a convincing 4-0 home victory.

There were wins for Division Two table-toppers Redhouse and their nearest challengers, Swindon AFC at the weekend. Redhouse edged past FC Abbeymeads 1-0, while Swindon AFC got the better of a five-goal thriller against Bassett Bulldogs.

The contest between Moredon and Brockhill ended 1-1, while Spectrum beat visitors Cricklade Town Reserves 5-3.
