HEYTESBURY remain on top of the Division One table in the Trowbridge & District League after a 3-1 win at home to fellow title contenders Three Daggers.

A brace of goals from Craig Sheppard led the way for Heytesbury, the first coming after eight minutes and the second soon after the half-time interval. Three Daggers responded through Joe Edwards to set up a tense final 15 minutes until Heytesbury substitute Liam Gibbens wrapped up the points late on.

Melksham A are now up to second after a 2-1 win at Hilperton.

Kieran Pearce scored both Melksham goals as Tom Blackman replied.

Warminster Town Reserves eased their relegation worries with an excellent 5 -1 win at struggling Calne Eagles.

Nicolas Taylor scored a hat-trick for Warminster, with Jake Wright and Nyke Fletcher adding a goal each. Michael Taraskevics got Calne’s consolation.

Holt beat Semington Magpies 3-1 to move into third place.

Goals from Dan Price, Otis Young and Mark Maguire made sure Holt kept up their challenge towards the top of the table, with Semington’s goal coming from Jake Abbott.

DIVISION TWO

WARMINSTER United kept up their 100 per cent record as Ashley Caws got both goals in a 2-0 victory over Calne Town Reserves.

Marshfield sit second after a thumping 9-0 victory over Trowbridge Wanderers Development.

Two goals each from Joey Hylands, Ewan Anderson, Callum Duckett and one apiece from George Ball, Dan Campbell and Jeremy Bond made up the nine for the promotion challengers.

Westbury United Development’s challenge hit a set-back at fellow promotion hopefuls Aces as the hosts won 2-0.

Joe Garraway and Max Betteridge got the goals to move Aces up to fourth in the table, only a point off second.

Greyhound got the better of The Stiffs in a 3-2 thriller.

Greyhound's goals were scored by Jack Brewer, Gavin Francis and Mohamed Karmoun, with Stephen Lewin and Robert Clark answering for The Stiffs

Harry Waylen struck four times as Spencers got their first league win and points of the season to climb off the bottom of the table after a 7-5 win over Zeals.

Spencer’s other goals came from Nathen Drew, Kyle Palmer and Jordan O’Dwyer, with Ben Hogg, Jordan Lynk, Shane Rendall, Adam Welch and Oliver Cole on the scoresheet for Zeals.
