BOTH Royal Wootton Bassett Town Sunday and FC Walcot kept up their strong starts in Division One of the Swindon Sunday League.

Bassett saw off their Highworth Town counterparts 6-2 thanks to a Lewis Petrie brace as well as goals from Matthew Grabe, Andrew Guppy, Danny Hale and Aaron Stevens, while Walcot overcame Woodlands Edge 4-3.

Two Aaron Williams strikes, coupled with a Robert Coules goal failed to prevent Edge from slipping to their sixth defeat of the season.

Penhill United made it three wins from their opening four games thanks to a comfortable 3-0 victory over AFC Mannington.

In Division Two, Stratton Saints lost their 100 per cent winning start after a 2-2 draw away at Cricklade Rangers. Will Hooton and James Joyce were Saints' scorers.

A Liam Kearns hat-trick helped Jovial Monk keep up the pressure on Saints at the top. Monk swept Atletico Marlborough aside as goals from Jonathan Peachy-Score and Carl Woodhams helped the home side to a comprehensive 5-0 victory.

Purton Redhouse picked up their third win of the season thanks to a comfortable 7-1 away win at bottom side Smart Movers.

Swindon Saracens picked up an unsurprising 10-1 win over basement club The Abbey Mead in Division Three.

Ashley Devenney bagged a hat-trick, Jordan Benfield and Ryan Walker both scored braces, with Michael Flatman, Alex Street and Tom Golding also finding the net.

A Corey King brace combined with an Isiah Jackson goal gave Gustoso all three points against Sevenfields United in a 3-0 success, while PSV Swindon beat Wroughton Rovers 4-1.

Two goals from Aaron Stubbs and one each from Joseph Kohn and Connor Sinclair gave PSV the points.

Swindon Rovers got the better of Merlin in a 6-5 thriller, while SWR saw off Openwork United 5-3 to keep up their 100 per cent record.
