LANDSCAPE artist Bob Rudd held an open studio at his home in Chippenham at the weekend to show his work to admirers.
Mr Rudd studied at the Bath Academy of Art, becoming a member of the Royal Society of Painters in Watercolours in 1995. He is known for his sweeping landscapes, including beautiful pictures of Wiltshire.
"We held the first one in 2000, and though we have missed a couple, we have held an open studio most years for people interested in seeing my work," he said.
He has exhibited at galleries in London, with solo exhibitions in London, Edinburgh and the Scilly Isles. He won the Turner Watercolour Award in 2010. Mr Rudd's work is also displayed in public and corporate collections including the new parliamentary buildings at Westminster and the House of Lords. His wife Jennifer Rudd also held an open studio, with a focus on paintings of flowers and plants.
