SWINDON Supermarine made it back-to-back wins in Southern League Premier Division South this evening with a dominant 3-0 victory away at Dorchester Town.

Lee Spalding’s side had beaten Basingstoke Town 5-2 on Saturday and are up to three wins in a row in all competitions having also claiming victory over Melksham Town in the Wiltshire Senior Cup.

There was little to choose between the two sides during the first half in Dorset, with Conor McDonagh and Stuart Fleetwood going closest to an opening goal for the visitors.

The stalemate looked set to remain until the break, however, Marine managed to take a narrow advantage into half-time after Henry Spalding struck two minutes before the interval.

Marine raised the tempo in the second half and McDonagh was able to double the advantage within 10 minutes of the restart.

The visitors then put the icing on the cake with a quarter-of-an-hour to go, with Brad Hooper sealing the win from the penalty spot after Dorchester had handled in the box.

Marine have now picked up 12 of the last available 15 points in the league and will hope to continue that good run at Tiverton Town on Saturday.

Elsewhere, Fairford Town's scheduled Hellenic League Premier Division match at home to Longlevens was postponed.
