SLEEPING Beauty is this year's traditional family pantomime from the Calne Players for next week's half term holiday.

The show coincides with the celebration of the 60th birthday of Disney’s version of Sleeping Beauty in 1959.

The Calne Players panto is directed by Kirsten Kerr and Shane Carter, and stars talented students from the John Bentley School, including Jessica Williams, Michael Kerr, Rosie Somerville, Megan Wright and Rachel Liddle.

Long standing member Daphne Wing, who celebrates her 90th birthday this year, is also in the cast.

Every year Calne Players writes and produces a pantomime, which takes place during the February school holidays. They also take part in community events.

Sleeping Beauty runs from February 20 to 23.

The Wednesday, Thursday and Friday performances start at 7.30pm, while Saturday has two performances at 11am and 4pm.
