POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a number of vehicles had their tyres slashed in Trowbridge overnight on February14/15.

A Citroen C2 and a Toyota Avensis were parked in Holbrook Street when they were targeted and had their tyres slashed.

A Nissan X-Trail, a Vauxhall Astra, Nissan Navara, Peugeot 207 and Toyota Avensis parked in Studley Rise were also targeted. It is believed a sharp instrument was used to slash the tyres on the vehicles.

PC Matt Fry, who is investigating the incidents, said: “We believe all these incidents are linked and would urge anyone who may have seen or heard any suspicious activity in these areas overnight on February 14-15 to get in touch. Do you have CCTV footage which may be relevant to our enquiries?

“This is mindless criminal damage which causes a lot of inconvenience to the owners of the vehicles.
