LEWIS Petrie scored six goals to help Royal Wootton Bassett Town Sunday to a 12-0 win over AFC Mannington and maintain their lead at the top of the Division One table in the Swindon Sunday League.

Danny Hale and Ryan Thomas both scored twice each, with one apiece for Joe Herbert and Joshua Morse completing the rout.

Elsewhere, Greyhound maintained their quest for a second-placed finish after beating Croft Junior 2-1.

In Division Two, Stratton Saints are now only two games away from remaining unbeaten for an entire season following an efficient 3-1 win over Chiseldon.

Champions Saints showed no ill effects after a three-week break as Will Hooton netted twice, while Aaron Burgess contributed a third.

Josh Harper’s hat-trick helped Purton Redhouse come out on the right side of a 5-4 epic away at Jovial Monk.

Antony Collett and Liam Kearns scored twice each for Monk, but Harper’s treble, combined with goals from Matthew Hall and Ryan Phillips saw Purton emerge on top.

In Division Three, Swindon Waiting Rooms held onto their lead at the top thanks to a comfortable 6-0 win against Sevenfields United.

The league’s top scorer, Lee Toomey, moved onto 37 goals for the season thanks to a brace, while Darren Coleman, Chester Dolisznyj, Joe Gentleman and Tatenda Majoni completed the scoring for the league leaders.

Swindon Saracens stayed third following their 7-2 win over the Abbey Mead, while Gustoso continued their late charge for the title with a convincing 6-1 win over Nationwide.

Kalum Youngsam grabbed a hat-trick, with Peter McGunigall and Scott Bevan netting one each. An own goal completed the scoring, while Matt Woodward recorded Nationwide’s consolation.

Swindon Rovers edged out Merlin AFC 5-4 thanks to a brace from Gareth Morris and strikes from Leon Hills, Darren McGowen and Sam Pryor.

Lydiard moved off the bottom of the table thanks to their third win of the season – a 6-3 success away at Wroughton Rovers. Morgan Watts scored two and Alistair Moscham also struck for Rovers.
