Luke McCormick – 6
Two excellent saves to prevent what could have been an embarrassing scoreline. Distribution was off. But can point blame to defence.
Kyle Knoyle - 5.5
Tactical change meant he switched from right wing to left in the game’s early moments. Steady, if not leaving his man a little free at times due to pushing forward.
Dion Conroy - 5
Passing was hit and miss – more miss than hit. Sloppy to gift Porter a one-on-one, which should’ve been a penalty given the call on House’s fall.
Luke Woolfenden – 6
Made some smart runs in the first half and was one of few positives in the opening half. Quieter in the second. Not his best day.
Tom Broadbent – 5.5
Didn’t seem to play at the intensity needed. Passes back frustrated fans, balls forward weren’t the most accurate we have seen.
Ali Koiki – 5.5 Gifted possession to Crewe cheaply in the opening phases of the game. Subbed after Wellens’ call to change formation following Town’s woeful start.
Michael Doughty – 6.5
Scored from the spot, otherwise nothing really stood out. Some passing was off. His hard work cannot be denied though.
James Dunne – 5.5
Quiet in midfield. Gifted possession away cheaply in the opening half, and could have been sent off for a last man foul.
Keshi Anderson – 5.5
Passing was overhit in the first half. Crossing wasn’t the most accurate in the second. Another below-par display.
Kyle Bennett - 7.5
The one bright spark in Town’s game today. Work hard, pushed forward and created plays for the hosts. Picked up a deserved man of the match
Theo Robinson – 4.5
Had two shots, both were hit straight at the ‘keeper. Never looked a threat, poor first touches and gifted possession away. One to forget.
SUBS:
Ben House – 6
Won a penalty. But was a little extravagant at times, covered every blade of grass.
Marc Richards – 6 Little time to make an impact as Crewe camped in for three points.
Kaiyne Woolery – 5.5
Passes were either overhit or the opposite. Few if any chances. Below-par.
