SHRIVENHAM rounded off their maiden season in Hellenic League Premier Division with a thumping 5-1 defeat away at Bishops Cleeve on Easter Monday.
Tom Ballard got the only goal of the game for the visitors, although it was no more than a consolation as Shrivvy were already 4-0 in arrears by the time they got on the scoresheet.
The result made it back-to-back defeats for the Barrington Park side following a 3-1 loss at Binfield last time out.
Despite the disappointing finish, the season is one of success for Gareth Davies’ side as they end the campaign fifth in the table in their maiden season back in the top flight following promotion from Division One West last term.
Fairford Town’s final fixture was also a damp squib as they were humbled 3-0 away at Tuffley Rovers.
Jody Bevan’s troops finish the season 13th in the table.
