A CHEQUE for £5,000 has been presented to Wiltshire Air Ambulance by Chippenham Lions after they held a charity auction in February.
The Lions held the Auction of Promises event in support of Wiltshire Air Ambulance and other Lions charities at the Town Hall.
The event was well supported with 100 donations known as‘promises’ made.
Over £5,000 was raised in the course of the evening
A number of Lions club members made the trip to Semington to the Charitable Trust’s headquarters to present them with their cheque.
The Lions Club of Chippenham is one of those 44,500 clubs across the world that are part of Lions Clubs International.
Each year Chippenham Lions raise about £30,000 for local causes and international charities through fundraising and community work.
