CLEAN air campaigners in Chippenham are using Clean Air Day to promote their plans to measure pollution on some of Chippenham’s busiest roads.
Today (Thursday, June 20) is Clean Air Day, the UK's largest air pollution campaign, coordinated by Global Action Plan.
Members of Zero Chippenham will be monitoring levels of air pollution in the town’s traffic hotspots working with Wiltshire Council to avoid duplication.
Zero Chippenham's Steven Heape said: “I live with my family on one of the main roads into Chippenham. We walk our son every day to Ivy Lane School, past all the traffic. The school is in the town centre, and air pollution is not good for our children. We need to make changes.”
