SWINDON Town have been pitted against Bristol Rovers and Plymouth in group stage of EFL Trophy next season.
Their final group opponents will be an invited U23 side from either a Premier League or Championship club, to be determined at a draw on Friday.
Richie Wellens’ side will face a youth outfit from either Arsenal, Brighton & Hove Albion, Chelsea, Fulham, Norwich City, Southampton, Tottenham Hotspur or West Ham United.
Town have recent Trophy history against both Rovers and Plymouth, who they will face in Group F in the early months of next season.
Swindon were also in the same pool as Argyle last season and claimed a 3-0 win at Home Park.
Twelve months prior in the 2017-18 campaign, Town and Rovers were in the same group, with Swindon earning a 4-2 victory on the road.
