Pair face court

TERRY Caven, 31 and Joseph Akerman, 29, both of Union Street, Melksham, will appear at Salisbury Magistrates Court on September 4 to face charges of theft. They were both arrested at 1.41pm on Sunday August 11 after taking bottles of alcohol from Melksham Service Station, Semington Road, Melksham and leaving without paying.

Fencing damaged

LOCKED farm gates on land at The Strand, Steeple Ashton, were damaged at 4.32pm on August 6 after some people drove through them to go hare coursing or poaching.

Tyre punctured

THE rear passenger tyre on a vehicle parked in Caretakers Close, Melksham, was damaged by a vandal using a sharp object overnight on August 7.

Nuts and bolts removed

VANDALS damaged a hand rail in King George V playing field at Melksham on August 7 by removing the nuts and bolts. They also damaged paving slabs.

Three men arrested

OFFICERS from the Police Dedicated Crime Unit arrested three men from Melksham on suspicion of being concerned with the supply of Class A drugs after witnessing a drugs deal in Sangster Avenue, Melksham, at 1.33pm on August 8. The men, two of whom were in their 20s and one in their 30s, were released under police investigation.
