Adver Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players after their 2-2 draw away at Cheltenham Town in League Two.

Luke McCormick: 6.5

Came for most of his crosses really well and dealt with some unsavory chants maturely. Would likely have been annoyed at seeing the second goal squeeze in.

Tyler Reid: 5

Would have wanted to prove to everyone at Cheltenham what they were missing when they elected not to sign him after a trial period a couple of years back, but he was often caught out in possession and was arguably at fault for both goals. Subbed.

Mathieu Baudry: 6

His lack of pace was evident at times, although not often tested by the experienced Varney. Unlucky not to have been rewarded with the winner though as his goal is thought to have been wrongly ruled out.

Dion Conroy: 6.5

Marshaled proceedings at the back well once again and looks a real rock in the centre of defence. Won most of his headers and covered for Baudry on more than one occassion.

Rob Hunt: 6.5

Playing out of position is never easy, no matter how small the adjustment, but Hunt handled his task well and looks every bit as solid as his predecessor, Kyle Knoyle.

Jordan Lyden: 6.5

Was his usual destructive self in shutting down the occasional counter-attack and his quality is almost becoming taken for granted by some around him. Has a petulant side that he needs to watch though. Booked.

Michael Doughty: 5

Left his teammates a man down for over 20 minutes with a lazy, high challenge on Clements. Looked good before that, but sacrificed Town’s chance at emerging victorious with a poor decision. Dismissed.

Lloyd Isgrove: 7

Keeping this man fit will be one of the most important jobs for anyone at the club this season. When the winger is allowed time and space, he can cause havoc, as proved with the cross for Doyle’s second. Subbed.

Keshi Anderson: 7

Seems to be very keen to prove just how good he can be so far this season and continued to regularly pop up into little pockets of space in forward areas. Should have had an assists, but Doyle poked wide. Faded in the second as Town were forced to defend their box.

Kaiyne Woolery: 6

Struggled again at a ground that he does not enjoy too much due to his inability to regularly knock the ball past a defender and run onto it. He will have better games.

Eoin Doyle: 7.5

cored two, but could have had three or four if every chance was gobbled up as easily as his goals. His wily nature and experience at this level could be crucial alongside the energetic Yates, if both can be crowbarred into the team at the same time.

SUBSTITUTES:

Ellis Iandolo: 6

Wasn’t forced into anything too expansive, but did his job well and looks to have developed physically over the summer. Could be a decent substitute with his pace and energy.

Danny Rose: 6

Looked comfortable enough on his season debut and will have an important part to play alongside Lyden in the next few games now that Doughty is banned.
